If a student is successful in all courses required for graduation but their GPA is below 2.00, they receive DD, DC, or CC grade in the course(s) – apart from their graduation project, studio, integrated training (internship), or similar long-term project work – the right of supplementary examination may be granted to them to use within fifteen days by the decision of the board of directors (this may only be granted if they apply to their respective faculty within five days after the end of exams that are related to end of the semester and summer school period).

For the course(s) in which the right of supplementary exam will be given; the most recent code, name, and credits of course(s) are taken into account on the transcript.

Another supplementary examination is also given to the students who cannot graduate as a result of additional exams, final exams until the end of the following semester, or summer school, provided that they pay the fee for the examination.

In order to raise their GPA, students in this situation may repeat other courses as well as the courses in which they apply the “right of the exam,” provided that they comply with the course load limits.

The same rights are given to students whose overall grade point average is still below 2.00 until the student achieves the grade point average required for graduation.

For students who have taken all courses required for graduation – apart from the lessons that include the graduation project, studio, integrated training (internship), and similar long-term project work –  but have failed (receiving FF on a maximum of two courses that are included in the grade point average) may be granted the right of supplementary examination to use within fifteen days by the decision of the board of directors (this may only be granted if they apply to their respective faculty within five days after the end of exams that are related to end of the semester and summer school period).

For the course(s) in which the right of supplementary exam will be given; the most recent code, name, and course credits will be taken into account on the transcript.

The success of students is determined by the grades that they receive on their exams.

If these students don’t use their right for the supplementary exam in time or they become unsuccessful even if they use their right to the supplementary exam, they have to retake these courses within the first semester or during the summer school period.

If the course(s) that a student must repeat within the following semester or summer school period are not available, another supplementary examination will be given to the student until the end of the following semester or summer school period, provided that they pay the fee for the examination.

Students who will use the right for the supplementary or unlimited exams must apply for these exams by the deadline. If students take the exam without applying in time, their grades will be cancelled.

The fee that students will pay for the right of the supplementary exam or unlimited exam is determined by the Board of Trustees of the University on the recommendation of the Board of Directors.
