Postponement Period and Age Limit:
Military service for students may be postponed during the continuation of their education within the age limit shown in the table below.

Students who have been unsuccessful in preparatory class in 1 year may continue their education in preparatory class later. However, the period exceeding 1 year in preparatory class will be considered as used from maximum education period.
Male students who do not renew their registration (due to not paying tuition fee and/or not registering to courses) during the maximum period will be reported to Recruiting Office. They will not be able to benefit from student rights and will be considered using from their maximum period.
Students can take leave of absence for maximum two semesters in preparatory class, associate and undergraduate programs. In obligatory cases, this period may be exceeded by the decision of the University Administrative Committee. This period is not considered as the maximum education period.
Students who could not graduate within the maximum education period will not be excluded from school. These students may register to continue with their education on the condition of paying their tuition fees. In this case, they cannot benefit from student rights except for attending courses or exams.
Students who could not graduate within the maximum education period:
For the students who did not reach age 29, the Military Status Documents (EK-C2) will be sent to the relevant recruiting offices by our university every year until they complete age 29 on the condition of paying the tuition for the semester. The military service for these students will be postponed by one year periods by the Ministry of National Defence until they reach the end of age 29.
For the students who completed age 29, Military Status Documents will not be prepared (EK-C2) by our university. These students will have to provide us with “Conditional Military Status Document” (EK-C3) every year in order to continue with their education.
Students Who Take Leave of Absence:
Students can take leave of absence for maximum two semesters in preparatory class, associate and undergraduate programs. In obligatory cases, this period may be exceeded by the decision of the University Administrative Committee. This period is not considered as the maximum education period and students may also postpone their military service in this period.
EK-C2 Military Document:
EK-C2 documents for all Graduate and Vocational School male students of our university will be prepared and sent to relevant recruiting offices by the end of October of the year they registered to university. Students do not need to apply for postponement procedures.
- Whose registrations are cancelled ,
- Who graduated,
- Who transferred to another university, their status will be reported by our university to recruiting offices they are registered to no later than one month.
Note: Military service process for foreign national students will be carried out by themselves (if they have such an obligation), and they will be subjected to their native country’s regulations.
